Studio Etiquette

  • Please check in with the front desk upon your arrival.

  • If it's your first class, arrive at least 10 minutes early to give yourself time to change and put your things away.

  • Shoes and cellphones are not allowed in the studio, please leave them in the cubbies just outside the studio doors.

  • If you have a smart watch, make sure to turn it on a mode that prevents it from making sound or flashing during class.

  • Class will begin on schedule and at this time, the front doors will be locked. This is to secure everyone’s belongings while also ensuring there are no disruptions.

  • Be Yoga encourages socializing and getting to know the community before class begins. Most classes end in savasana and we ask that you respect those who want to remain in silence for a bit longer, and wait until you leave the studio to start talking again.

  • If you are feeling sick, please stay home. You can email the front desk at burien@beyoga.com and we will remove your reservation at no cost.

  • Try to drink as much water as you can before class, this will help keep you better hydrated as you sweat during class. We have a water bottle refill station and cold bottled water for sale if needed.

  • Please deposit trash, recycling, mats and towels in their proper place. Used mats and towels go in the wire bin next to the recycling. Other items left behind will go to the lost and found (to the right of the front door). Lost and found gets donated twice a month, on the 1st and 15th.

  • Try your best in each posture and listen to your body. If you need to take a break, feel free to sit or lie down, and join back in when you are ready.
