Be Yoga Burien has always been a safe and clean environment. In our 13+ years of business, we have always put our students' health and well being first. In addition to our state of the art heating and ventilation systems, as well as our antimicrobial flooring, here are some extra measures we are taking:
We require pre-registration for all classes
We regularly use the ventilation system that brings FRESH air from the outdoors into the studio room.
We open doors to both the lobby and the studio room to the outside air, turn on fans, and regularly bring in fresh air.
We run a Germ Guardian machine 24/7 in the practice room.
We clean and disinfect the studio before and after each class, and we offer wipes to all attendees.
We have several hand sanitizing stations available, as well as two sinks in each locker room.
We encourage students to bring their own mats, towels and props.
We encourage students and teachers to stay home when they feel any symptoms.

There are several reasons for the heat: This heat is helpful in allowing the body to go deeper into postures safely, minimizing risk of injury by increasing elasticity of the muscles, ligaments and tendons, allowing greater flexibility with a lower risk of injury. The heat also facilitates sweating, detoxifying through the pores and skin – the body’s largest eliminating organ. Heat increases cardiovascular workout. The intensity of the heat deepens the need for concentration and focus, strengthening willpower and self-control. Our Vinyasa and barre classes are warm but not hot. Yin is also not intentionally heated.

Medical benefits are usually evident with 3 practices per week, minimum. The more you practice, the greater the health and well-being benefits. We suggest you practice as often as you can. Many of our students aim for 5-6 classes a week. Every day is not too much!

YES! All classes can be safely practiced daily, and even twice daily. Many of our students enjoy taking more than 1 class a day as our classes compliment each other.
